Ted Esparza, PT
Ted is a native to New Mexico. He graduated cum laude in physical therapy at UNM and has more than 15 years of orthopaedic physical therapy experience. During his career, he has managed multiple clinics for a national outpatient rehabilitation company and a privately owned orthopaedic outpatient clinic. The experience he gained while working for those companies and his passion to assist patients to return to their highest functional level, led him to open his own physical therapy practice, E6 Physical Therapy. His philosophy of professionalism, quality, integrity, compassion and respect has become the foundation of E6 Physical Therapy operations. In his spare time he enjoys mountain biking, golfing, traveling, and is an avid sports enthusiast.
Jennifer Abel, PT, COMT, FAAOMPT
Jennifer was born and raised in Alaska. Her pursuit of a warmer climate brought her to Albuquerque where she attended UNM and graduated summa cum laude in 1999. She was welcomed into the E6 Physical Therapy family in 2007. Her interest in orthopaedics drove her to complete a certification in orthopaedic manual physical therapy and, ultimately, a fellowship in manual therapy through Kaiser Hayward. Jennifer is proud to be a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists. She has vast knowledge and experience in all areas of orthopaedics but particularly enjoys and specializes in the treatment of cervical spine and shoulder conditions. She continues to be inspired by the strength, determination, resiliency, and individuality of her patients and enjoys seeing them conquer their goals.
Xavier Marquez, MSPT
Xavier, a native to New Mexico, has been with E6 Physical Therapy since 2008 and brings over 10 years of orthopedic experience to the practice. Xavier earned his Masters’ degree in Physical Therapy from the University of New Mexico. Xavier is the bilingual therapist on staff and welcomes all Spanish speaking patients. With the quality care environment at E6 Physical Therapy, Xavier can create an environment that is comfortable for patients to be able to achieve their functional and personal goals. Outside of the clinic, Xavier enjoys road cycling and being a loving father and husband to his daughter and wife.
Matthew Whiting, PTA
Matthew was born and raised in Albuquerque New Mexico. He received his Physical Therapist Assistant Associates degree from Carrington College in 2014 and joined the E6 Physical Therapy team in August of 2014. Matthew strives to help decrease people’s pain and increase their strength and function through proper exercise and manual therapy. During his free time, Matthew enjoys spending time with his daughter and weight training.
